For years, on my days off, I’d bike around the river or head out to the beaches. I’m looking for the maas mensen. Men and women who celebrate the waters, and those who seek the solitude, in a background of city and harbour.

Rotterdam is an amazing city. She is growing by the day, and becoming more spectacular in her urban development, her architecture and her skyline. I am always seeing new buildings, new greenery, new restaurants and lunch cafes. These photographs are largely used in postcards sold around the city. All my color and black and white images are sold exclusively by KKEC in Rotterdam.

Rotterdam is a city booming with new architecture, new ideas and lots of up and coming industries. These images, however tend to seek out the classic, nostalgic side of the city and her busy port past. The river flowing through her, Rotterdam is so beautiful.
